Christina Fronista
Greece Performing Arts

The actress and soprano Christina Fronista was born in Athens. She enjoyed a German-Greek school education and received her university diploma in acting in 2001 from the Theatro Technis Karolos Koun Academy of Drama in Athens. This was followed by theatre performances in the classical repertoire. At the same time she took singing lessons in Berlin alongside Vivial Lee, Roberta Cunningham and Neil Semer. In 2006 she received the recognition as musical performer (focus on singing) from the ZAV Musical Berlin.

Her extensive theatre and musical repertoire includes performances such as The Three Musketeers (Theater Kivotos), Tsar Saltan (Rimski Korsakov, National Opera), La Cenerentola (Rossini, National Opera), and Peter Pan (Musical). Currently she can be seen in concerts in Berlin with a repertoire of musicals, chansons and operetta. At the Chorin Opera Summer 2016 she took on the role of Adelaide in the Bird Seller and at the same time the role of Kate in Girls Night (Musical). In the same year she sang as a soloist in the jazz opera Take my Otherness in the Philharmonie and also in the revival in 2018, followed by the role of Hansel in Hänsel and Gretel. In 2019 she can be seen in concerts musical and operetta.

She is currently working on a concept of a tragedy for a performance in Berlin
in form between spoken and musical theatre 2019. The focus is on the digital preparation of the body of work. The project is supported by state resources.

It is fluent and performs in four languages: German, English, Greek and French.
